Our Pre-K Program is designed to ensure children are confident, capable, and Kindergarten-ready while continuing to foster curiosity and a love of learning.
Our Pre-K curriculum is grounded in Letterland and enhanced with Experience Early Learning and Learning Without Tears to ensure children are confident, capable, and Kindergarten-ready. Instruction is differentiated to meet individual learning needs while supporting advanced literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development through engaging, hands-on experiences. Sight word instruction begins in January.
Math instruction includes:
• Number Identification (up to 50)
• Rote Counting to 100
• Comparing and Ordering Numbers
• Tally Marks and Number Modeling
• Addition and Subtraction
• Counting Coins
Monthly Social Studies and Science units dive deeper into exploring the world around us and building early inquiry and questioning skills.
Learning is differentiated to meet each child’s individual needs through:
• Whole-group Instruction
• Small-group Lessons
• Centers and Hands-on Learning
Progression Reports are sent home in October, February and May, covering:
• Social & Emotional Development
• School & Fine Motor Skills
• Academic Readiness
