Little Pines Academy is a Moore County Preschool that focuses on developing the whole child – academically, socially and creatively.

Our Three-Year-Old Program builds upon early foundations while encouraging independence, confidence, and a growing sense of responsibility. The curriculum supports social-emotional growth, fine motor development, and expanding academic skills through a balanced blend of play-based and teacher-guided learning.

Our Three-Year-Old curriculum is built on Letterland and enhanced with Experience Early Learning and Learning Without Tears to promote early reading, writing, and math skills. Instruction includes whole-group lessons, small-group activities, and hands-on learning experiences that support number sense, early problem-solving, and social-emotional growth through meaningful play and exploration.

Children participate in engaging whole-group lessons to develop math skills such as:

• Number Identification (up to 10)
• Comparing Sets
• Letter and Sound Identification

Monthly Social Studies and Science units—often centered around the Five Senses—encourage curiosity, exploration, and early critical thinking.

Children learn through:

• Social & Emotional Skills
• School & Fine Motor Skills
• Academic Development

Potty Training Requirement: Children must be fully potty trained to attend our 3-Year-Old through Pre-K programs. Please see our full Potty Training Policy for details. Potty Training Policy
